Aston Villa Are Heading Towards Relegation

relegationDon’t tell me you’re not looking forward to going to Villa Park as well tomorrow. It’s actually got to that stage for me now, and who can blame us for feeling that way. What I wouldn’t give for a bit of mid-table mediocrity for a couple of years, the stress of trying to find some sort of solution to our problems is taking its toll on me when it comes to discussing all things Aston Villa. My God we deserve some respite, but you can forget about that, when Tom Fox struggles with the whole English narrative, of taking the easy way out, what a doughnut!!!

But things are going to get worse before they actually get better, aren’t they? I think that we’re heading for the Championship under this manager, as I’ve seen nothing on the field of play to suggest otherwise. All the evidence supports that Aston Villa are heading for the drop, whether we’re 3 points above the relegation zone currently, or not. We all know that stats can be deceiving, but in our case, they actually prove that our club is rotten from head to toe, and I’m Flipping Fed Up Of It!!!

Randy Lerner along with his past and current CEO’s, have let the fans and the institution that is Aston Villa Football Club down severely. The hiring of Alex McLeish (Birmingham City F.C.) and now the incompetence of our current manager (with an array of unwanted Villa records) who has the safest job in the whole wide world of football, are just to name a few. Is It ANY WONDER THAT PEOPLE HORRIFICALLY UNDERACHIEVE AT ASTON VILLA WITHOUT ACCOUNTABILITY, YOU EGG, LERNER!!!

  1. Well Glen, what a pickle, if we all took the same sort of view as you we would definately go down. Its true that we have an incompetent manager, the CEO and the owner are a disgrace and now you have completed the set by making the fans a disgrace. The only hope that we have is for the fans to stay positive and to give some vocal support to the team on the field. I shall be there tomorrow even though I think that Chelsea are the best team in the league by a long way and that we will do well to get a point. But I don’t want the team to think that we have abandoned them, hell no, I will never give up on them even though they are the most exasperating bunch I have ever watched. The run in favors Villa over the other contender candidates and I do believe that we have enough quality to scrape home. So forget about the management and get behind the players and we will achieve our aims.

  2. although the defeat against the arse was tough there have been small improvements
going forward over the past few games
gil and sinclair look to have something about them going forward, if lambert has not bought him on we would have learnt nothing
tomorrow is one of those games we will 90% lose
so ,,, does lambert play defensive, or try and go for it in the hope we create chances and learn more
and start to get the team ready for the hull game,,,

    tough one

  3. sincemy first game in 1974 standing on the old witton bank I’ve never seen such gutless ineptitude from an untalented side managed by a plank who works for an invisible chairman in a stadium which seems to shrink with every season, we are a laughing stock we can’t even defend a lead with 5 minutes left(v Southampton and spud)s, we should easily be 6 or seven points better, but the berk in the dugout simply doesn’t know what tot do. is the keeping of benteke and delph such amajor thing? neither are playing at anywhere near what they should be, why?because a manager of such incompetance doesn’t know what to do.whatwould deadly doug have done? sacked him in his first season , that’s what!
his mumbled predictable offering at press conferences makes me think he’s talking about another team get out of town lambert Stafford rangers are your level, go!!

  4. This article was written before today’s game and I imagine that the author would write something different now. The fans were right behind the team today and they rewarded us with a passionate display which almost brought us something from the game.
I’m actual looking forward to seeing my team at again now.

  5. I see the point regards getting behind the team but its a double edged sword. Up until the Liverpool game I could sit and endure the rubbish up until the ref put me out of my misery and then hope that enough booing and insults would see the back of Teflon, but, alas no. Now, I turn up and can’t wait to leave, thinking how I could have spent my precious spare time. I no longer want to go to Villa, didn’t think I’d say that after 48 years but there’s only so much anyone can take. Today’s game against Chelsea I noticed the empty seats in the Holt, a sign that others can no longer be bothered and who can blame them. The game plan today from Teflon was simple, hold Chelsea and frustrate them and snatch a break away winner, mmmmm, lasted 4mins, next game plan, mmmmm, none! He should have set it up with Benteke up front and Gabby or Weinman playing in the hole with Sinclair adding width. Once we went 1 down there was little to offer and although we showed a spark bafter the break it was always Chelsea who offered another gear and class. The Villa fans around me today (not regulars) seem to be watching through rose tinted spectacles, my moaning soon sparked fury and the reaction that I should support the team, as I explained, I don’t pay good money to support rubbish and I’ll say what I please. If you are one of these people who think cheering a team no matter how they play is the way to go then you’ll fit well in at Villa park and the only place you are going is down, let’s see how many turn up then!
