Grealish And McGinn To Leave Aston Villa?

It looks like the media are trying to sell our best players again. Jack Grealish is a fantastic footballer and he is going to cost a kings ransom for any football club that want to buy him. But do we need to sell? The answer is no. The Coronavirus has changed the way football clubs will do their business this season and here’s why.

There are two scenarios for Aston Villa this season. We stay up or we get relegated. No matter what happens to Villa this season, we shouldn’t sell our best players. Quality football players like Grealish and McGinn are very hard to find. So will we have the time to replace them with the right kind of player depending on our situation? I don’t think we will.

I don’t think we should sell. It might be tough for the players if a huge offer comes in from a big club that’s challenging for trophies and titles. But just remember this, the current circumstances and our own aspirations to challenge for honours in the future should count for something in all decisions that we make this season. UTV

  1. I think the individual players will have a say on this. Sadly the likes of Man U, Leicester et al are a more attractive destination than we are at the moment. I know we had to go on a trolley dash for new players after promotion but not one has been an improvement from what we had. Even if we stay up the better players will want out to further their careers leaving us in the same place again to buy another batch of below par journey men.
