Rémi Garde To Leave Aston Villa

gardeThings are starting to move and shake at board level at the Villa, and it’s been well overdue. I wasn’t too sure what to make about Steve Hollis’s appointment when Randy Lerner hired him, but it seems he has genuine power to make tough decisions, and he’s certainly using those powers.

Hollis along with Mervyn King have started wielding the axe when they firstly sacked Hendrik Almstadt then closely followed by Tom Fox, we can dress it up anyway we want, resignation, mutual consent, but the reality is, they were sacked by the new chairman, backed up by the rest of the board.

Brian Little along with Sir David Bernstein have both been appointed to the Villa board, which has been well received by a lot of Villa fans. The General Charles Krulak has been brought back to the Villa board which might upset a few, but on the whole, these changes can only be a positive for our club to hopefully move forward.

Knowing that Tom Fox was on something like £1.2m a year really infuriated me! With his disastrous time at Villa that included false narratives, extended and new contracts for second-rate managers, contracts for less than mediocre players, I for one will not be shedding any tears that this amateur has gone! Good Riddance!!!

And now the net is closing in on Rémi Garde! It’s only a matter of time before he leaves Aston Villa, he has to go. Rémi is a very nice man, but the wrong choice when hired for this very hard job way back when, though some Villa fans think that he could get us out of the Championship next season, they’re deluded!

My confidence in this new board line-up has been raised, but like a lot of things in life, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, so well done so far, but I’ve got my eyes on you. UTV

  1. There is little doubt that Rémi will be a top manager, at a top club. However, the skills required to properly manage Villa are currently rather more specialised. When we are back wherever really belong, firmly established in the Premiership, a manager like Rémi would be ideal.

  2. Here here our manger is clueless not one bit has changed since he took the job did you here that he took the job he new wit he getting into 9 months off work and a pay out yet another one so don’t feel sorry for him he do all right out of it Tim Alex that French twit with heart problem mistake after mistake by learner that y our club is a mess we sacked 2 clueless pricks I hate them with a capital H get paddy out and lets go again in div 1 can not believe it us Aston villa not in top flight football lets face it wolves forest Leeds Portsmouth all big clubs and should be in top Football clubs but miss Management will all ways come out and find us we rolled the dice for the past 4years

  3. Wow to the above. All in one sentence! Garde was the wrong choice made by fox. If we’d left sherwood in charge with his choice of players we would have done a lot better. Now we must go all out for David moyes or Pearson. Both have decent records and both have promotion experience. We had better move quick , as Everton might be looking to take moyes back and several interested in Pearson.
