Christian Benteke..Should I Stay Or Should I Go?

Benteke 1I don’t think we should sell Christian Benteke, because it would send out the wrong message to other players that would come here, have a great first season, then think they could leave. Aston Villa are not a shop window for other clubs to buy our players

But from a business point of view, (not mine) it would be silly not to consider it, ( because every player has there price) provided that Paul Lambert has a big say in the matter, and the fee was £35,000,000 plus, I think I would trust Lamberts desicion to sell. Don’t forget, it was Lambert that found Benteke in the first place.

But the sale would only happen if all the conditions were met. Lambert wouldn’t get all the money to spend, if our valuation met of course, he would only get half, and that’s because Randy Learner knows that Lambert has a good eye for a quality players, in other words, Sell On Value. But as a fan of Aton Villa, I wouldn’t sell at any price, but that’s not the real world, is it.

  1. I think it will be harder for him next season…think you should sell…get some more experience players to help the younger players…

    • It wil b harder 4 the defenders nxt season not 4 him he stil learning as wel so god help the teams nxt season ooooooohhhhhhhhhh Christian benteke ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh Christian benteke!!!!!c’mon u villans !!!!!

  2. Benteke is our man 4 nxt season he can’t just off & go afta 1 season im sure let’s av another gud season out of him & then see wat happens.

  3. Money talks this day and age, and if stupid money came in for Christian, we would have to consider the offer, it makes sense. Don’t get me wrong I don’t want to see him go, in fact I would be completely gutted if he did. But one little thing worries me here, I hope they’re not stalling the contract talks and hope some third party comes in with crazy bid. Or is there something in place with another club that Benteke’s agent has manufactured, it’s me speculating, but if they can wind up Andi Weimann’s contract, when he only had a year left, why can’t they wind up Benteke’s with 3 years. Like I say it’s only my own thoughts on this, I haven’t heard from anywhere else that anything I’ve just said is true. But it does make you wonder though.

  4. I think he should give it one more season and if we don’t progress to a place he wants to be and he has performed as well as he did this season then I think he would go with most peoples blessing, but he has to want to stay to be able to give 100%. Saying that if someone come in with silly money say £30m + and it was all reinvested in the team then why wouldn’t PL sell? In Lambert we trust… UTV

  5. Without a doubt stay! Repay fans support & loyalty! Hasn’t done anything in the game yet, but looks a fantastic player, who can turn a game & instill fear in opponents. A lot to live upto next season, won’t find it as easy. A couple of Marquee signings would go a long way to convincing him to complement are promising young platers.

  6. villa are in the driving seat here Christian is 10 month into a 4 year deal we have said what the valuation is , so to all the clubs who are interested put up or shut up , if he has another season as the last he will command a ridulious transfer fee next year and will unfortunately end up at a top European side

  7. Benteke will stay because he knows who put him on the map, he’s a humble lad and he respects Lambert, Good season for us next season, world cup next summer, then he can make his mind up, because after the world cup I expect him to have sky’s the limit.
