I haven’t got much to say about last night, other than the goals were spread throughout the team. Watkins, Buendia, Rogers, and a late one on eighty-nine minutes from Konsa showed Villa were in no mood to let up.
Try as they might, Bologna had no chance. Villa were on fire. The game was over by forty-five, and the second half felt academic. A game of one half.
Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest came through over two legs against FC Porto to set up an all-English semi-final on Thursday 30 April against Villa.
It should be a proper spectacle. Two former European Cup winners, both of us winning it the hard way, as Champions. Know what I mean.
Good luck to Forest, but I believe Villa will go through over the two legs. We’re away in the first leg, which can be an advantage. Other than Kamara still out with a knee injury, we’ve got a full squad to choose from.
It’s got to be Villa over two legs. UTV
