Tom Cleverley to Aston Villa, I believe would be a good move, but not at any price. If current reports are to be believed the stumbling block is his wages. We’ve just come out of 3 seasons of austerity due to spending above our means and we should be careful not to put are ourselves back there.
Cleverley is worth at the most £50k a week and we can afford it. If he’s willing to take a pay cut from his reported 70k a week wage, then I think it could be a good move for him. Our central midfield needs competition; Cleverley would provide that element of hunger for a place in the team.
Whenever I’ve watched him play for Manchester United, he’s mostly looked a decent player to me, although a lot of people out there think he’s not very good; I think that’s people mostly jumping on the bandwagon. I believe he would be a good link between our midfield and defence, which would create more chances for shots on target and goals, which is something we’ve been lacking for a while.
We need to be realistic at the moment as Villa fans as we’ve been down in the dumps for many years. To a potential signing, we might not look very attractive as a club to come too, especially a player coming from a successful club like Manchester United. But if Cleverley does sign for us, then I’ll be one happy Villan and will make him feel very welcome. UTV

8 million for Cleverly? Is Randy loosening up the purse strings, maybe he don’t want to sell the club anymore? If the money is there then PL should spend it and its not as if he’s a donkey in my opinion. And yes you are right, I’m sure most people saying he’s crap are following the heard.
