Shopping At The Bargain Basement Could Spell Disaster For Aston Villa

IMG_0192It’s been mooted around social media that there was going to be a statement from Aston Villa about the situation of our current manager Paul Lambert. However, I must say, that it has come as no surprise to me that Lambert is still our manager. Why would anything have changed; Villa has the same owner, so not until there is someone willing to buy our club, a decision won’t be made on Lambert’s future.

There was an article put on the official Aston Villa website today interviewing Lambert, where he’s saying things like, “The squad requires strengthening,” We’ll look to identify players of proven quality,” The past two seasons have been tough,” “I’m determined to give it everything I have.” Doesn’t sound like a man leaving a football club anytime soon, does it?

Getting a buyer for Aston Villa isn’t going to be easy, I mean, who’s got a spare £300,000,000 lying around to buy and invest in a football club? So, until we find a buyer that’s wants to invest in Villa, we’re just going to have to continue doing things on the cheap, and that could be disastrous for Villa’s Premiership survival next season.

So why us Villans look at other clubs shopping at the likes of Harrods, M & S, Sainsbury’s, Tesco’s, “hell” even Aldi, Aston Villa will have to continue to buy their players at Kunti’s, and yes, it is an actual shop. UTV
