Dr Xia Must Get A Move On And Name The New Villa Manager

TonyXiaWhat’s the hold up with the hiring of our new Villa manager? Aston Villa announced last week that Dr Tony Xia and Randy Lerner had agreed to the sale of our club, subject to the approval of the Premier League and the Football League. But why should we wait for approval, Xia’s got nothing to hide, and the current board must be confident that he’ll pass the fit and proper persons test, right?

Already, and for many weeks, we’ve been hearing through the media that this person will be appointed, that man will be shown the door, he’s had a second interview and this guy will have another, so decisions have, or are being made, right? Xia has got to know who he wants to manage Aston Villa, doesn’t he? He did say that he had already offered the job to someone, could that person have been David Moyes who turned us down? We really need to get a move on!

Why can’t Aston Villa Football Club just go out there and hire the man they want to do the job with the approval of the Doctor? They won’t be breaking any rules will they? Could it be that the existing board and Xia have a difference of opinion as to whom they want to manage Aston Villa, but the current board are worried they might be stuck with Xia’s choice if he fails FPPT?

People out there have suggested that Xia might not be the man who he says he is, which could affect his take over, people have also said the complete opposite and take great delight in telling people to chill out, because they’re worried. I can understand people’s emotions both ways, especially when we hear that Xia could be richer than Sheik Mansour and then in the next breath, maybe just another Carson Yeung. The lack of information about Xia only adds to the fans anxiety about the whole takeover, they’ve been emotionally battered for the last five years, so who can blame them!

As fans, we have the right to voice our opinions, so let’s hope this deal can go through, let’s hope he is everything we’re being told he is! With the reports of the ownership or interests in companies, an amended club statement, Professor or not, how old is he again? LOOK, if there is nothing for us to worry about, then hurry up and name our new manager so we can get a move on, time is of the essence, and we don’t want to be stuck in the Championship any longer than we have too! 1. David Moyes was offered a contract which he turned down yesterday, second choice Di Matteo is currently in negotiations with Lazio & third choice Nigel Pearson has already stated he is not interested (probably because of beinh third choice).
