Three Minutes Of Madness Was Enough For The Gunners: Aston Villa 0-3 Arsenal

Villa v Arsenal-After losing 0-3 to Arsenal, I didn’t feel half as bad as I thought I would. Going home in the car, the lads and I came to the conclusion on a few points concerning the result today. Firstly, it was anyone’s game until they scored their first goal. Secondly, 3 minutes Later the game was won by Arsenal when they scored 2 more goals. And Lastly, Villa didn’t try to get back into the match for fear of getting a hammering in the second half, damage limitation definitely in action.

It’s been reported that some sort of virus affected a few of the Villa players today, so Clark and Sanchez came in for Baker and Westwood. I don’t know if Sanchez was feeling the after effects of a bug today, because he didn’t look like he was at the races at all. I don’t want to be too harsh on the lad, but I thought he was the weak link in the Villa team today.

Apparently Randy Lerner was at Villa Park today! There were a few rumours flying around that he might have a change in heart in selling our club, especially after our great start this season; but after today’s loss, he’s more than likely changed his mind back again, who knows? Never the less, it was nice to know he was knocking around.

So, we’re going to have to dust ourselves down and move on to the next match (does that sound familiar), Chelsea, Oh God!!! So I’m going to tuck into a few bottles of Budweiser and watch the boxing. Match Of The Day, not tonight mate! UTV

  1. We can’t blame a virus going around the villa for 27% possession at home, we need to offer more than that.

The second half was a none event which is a pity because villa park was rocking. Everyone could see that villa weren’t gonna commit theirselves for fear of a thrashing.
