Benteke Out Big Nick In Please
Firstly let me say, It’s a real shame for Benteke to get such horrendous injury which is likely to keep him out of competitive football for anything up to 10 months. But one mans lose should be another man’s gain.
And that man for me is Nicklas Helenius. For me I don’t think Nick has been given a fair opportunity to show what he’s got on the football pitch. You might say thats because he probably hasn’t shown enough to Paul Lambert in training to warrant a place in the Villa starting line up, but don’t forget I think PL is a tactical Numpty.
Watching Big Nick doing his warm up exercises on the side lines this season was a bit of a hard watch for me and I kept thinking to myself “I bet he’s thinking to himself, when am I going to get my chance”. That didn’t really come until we played Sheffield United in the FA Cup and even then he came on as a late substitution for Tonev. Right form the off, Big Nick looked quite a good footballer to me and it wasn’t long when he bagged his first goal for his club, of course we went on to lose that particular match and every around me was very disappointed but special praise was made for Nick’s cameo appearance that afternoon.
I believe he was our best player for the 30 minutes or so when he was on the pitch for Villa in that FA Cup tie and you might think he would have a earned himself a place in the starting line up of Villa’s next match? But no, he found himself on the sidelines once again, What you gotta to do to be noticed hey.
So for me thats my argument for Big Nick to be put in the starting line up for Aston Villa vs Fulham tomorrow. More than likely Grant Holt will get into the first team which will make me resent Paul Lambert even more, no offence Grant. But who knows, maybe he might shock me. UTV
