Unai Emery has called for an explanation from VAR following our Europa League semi-final defeat to Nottingham Forest.
The incident happened during the first leg, where a reckless challenge on Ollie Watkins was reviewed but not upgraded to a red card. Emery described the decision as a “huge mistake.” I agree with him 100%.
Surprise, surprise, there has been no response from VAR officials or UEFA in the immediate aftermath of the match.

He should be able to legitimately demand a response. The VAR should have to fully respond within 24 hours with a detailed explanation. Without a full process, VAR will continue to affect outcomes of matches and become more of a joke. But it isn’t funny anymore. UTV
