It doesn’t always go down well with some fans when you question the form of certain players. But we all have opinions, and we express those opinions based on what we see.
Morgan Rogers is a fine player, but right now, I believe he is struggling to find real consistency in his performances. His contribution lately has not been where it should be for a player of his quality.
This is where the manager has to step in and help the player, and I am not entirely sure that is happening at the moment.
We have seen Emery substitute players when they appear to be playing well, yet Rogers rarely seems to come off, even when he is having a bad game.
Being dropped or substituted is not always a punishment. Sometimes it can help refocus a player if standards have dipped slightly.
I do not think Rogers has become complacent in his mentality, but his form has not been at its best recently.
I would not drop him from the starting line-up against Liverpool on Friday evening, but if things are not happening for him on the pitch, then I would seriously consider taking him off. UTV
Need to get him sold asap and of course replaced he’s been championship level at best since christmas
Tell interested clubs £100.000.000 is the starting price and hope that a few will battle it out in an auction adding £10/20 million extra to the sum… We can replace the Morgan Rogers that is playing right now… A good world cup especially if we win it could enhance his desirability to clubs and we could get £130+ Malen and Guessand will be gone and hopefully so will Bailey, Garcia, Bogarde plus all the loan players, it is not out of the realms of possibility to bring in £180.000.000 + I am more confident about the quality and impact of new signings now that Olabe is here… We need another right back, centre back or 2, left winger, right winger, another 2 centre midfielders another number 10 and maybe a striker who can play anywhere… We could be going for 3/4 free agents which will mean we can spend big on the rest and buy very good players who are younger and on less wages… Depending upon how we manage to offload unwanted players and how much we manage to sell the one’s we are reluctant to get rid of We could have a big summer of refurbishing the squad and giving it a big upgrade in quality…

What about Watkins and Martinez. Possibly Onana (injury prone) Tielemans, Barkley Digne and Tyrone. So add a new striker and goalkeeper too. That is a huge turnover that should have been gradual over the past 3 years. However, we would still have Cash, Kamara,Maatsen(only if we sold Digne), Konsa,Lindelof and Mcginn,Torres,Abraham (and of course not all of the players you mentioned and I mentioned will be sold). Don’t forget. Borough get 20% of Rodgers fee. But I reckon on at least £200.m. Rodgers 80 million (after Boroughs cut), Watkins £30m, Martinez £30m,. That is £190m if we add Guessand and Malen. Then ome others that you and I mentioned. Incomings, some like Allyson,Hemmings will no doubt have added minutes to contribute. So we will have a core of the current squad. Obviously we need to make any expenditure count. Our transfer investment (Rodgers excepted)has been so poor, we are still reliant on most of Dean’s players. I hope you are right that Olabe will achieve this. So next season already has a feel of freshness and more vitality and more performances like Forest in the semi. But CL will have a massive affect. So fingers crossed for that and for the current squad as many of them deserve a trophy and iMay 20th could be their last chance. No-one has mentioned, that unlike West Ham, Tottenham Man U, we reached the Europa final and still went for, hopefully achieve, CL rather than a relegation battle.. Appreciate your contribution. Utv
