Morgan Rogers to Leave Aston Villa This Summer?

It’s inevitable that when you have quality players, other clubs are going to show an interest, and that now appears to be the case with Morgan Rogers.

There hasn’t been any formal interest shown from any top club at the moment, but a number of outlets have reported that a big-money offer could be close.

Alongside Arsenal and Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain are also being linked. According to talkSPORT, Rogers is reported to be open to leaving Aston Villa and joining a different club in the summer.

How much is he worth? Again, according to reports, it could be £80m or more if a bidding war develops between multiple clubs.

As a Villa fan, I don’t want to see him go. If it were up to me, he’d be going nowhere, but that decision isn’t in my hands.

It’s hard to take these rumours with a pinch of salt when they continue to surface. There is an old saying, “no smoke without fire,” and that keeps niggling in the back of my mind.

I don’t want to be too harsh on Rogers at this stage, but if he does leave Aston Villa ahead of next season, I will be very disappointed. UTV

  1. Many fine players have over the years left the club. The days of loyalty are long gone. It’s a job, a professional and well paid job and a nomadic mentality has and will continue to prevail. Good luck to Rogers if he moves on, but on to better things only time will tell…

  2. if the owners want us to be regular champions league contenders we should not be selling Rogers or any top players !

  3. Have you not heard of a smoke machine Glenn?
He claims that he’s only getting better playing under Unai, he looks to be happy and enjoying his football, he’s already at a top club, why would he leave?

    • I agree with you on both of your points. But like I say in my post, the rumours are being reported from the likes of TalkSPORT and others. So do we take them seriously or not? We’ll just have to wait and see if he stays, hopefully he does. He’s a fantastic player.
