It’s going to be a very difficult match today. Bournemouth are no pushovers by any stretch of the imagination—they’re a side that grinds out results, and their recent form proves it.
Unbeaten in their last six Premier League games, Bournemouth will make life tough for Villa. With our own recent form far from convincing, we’ve got a real job on our hands to get the win away from home this afternoon.
The race for fifth—and a potential Champions League spot—isn’t over yet, but if we don’t win today, we’re out of it. Simple as that.
I can’t see Manchester City dropping points from here, so forget about them. It’s between us, Newcastle, Chelsea, and Forest—all of whom play tomorrow. If we do our job today and beat Bournemouth, I’ll be keeping a very close eye on those results tomorrow. UTV
Our own recent form in the prem is 4 wins in the last 5, and 5 wins in the last 6. Hardly terrible, and our only loss is against Man City who always seem to beat us at their place. Our performance against Fulham might not have been the best but we still won. Before those 6 games we lost to Palace who have our number recently. Getting knocked out by a single goal difference to PSG was better than i could have hoped for, but i will admit that the FA cup was a terrible performance. I expect Bournemouth to be a tough game but to say our form is not convincing is disingenuous at best. We’re winning games even when we’re off form. Crikey, we only lost to City because of a 94th minute goal and we were terrible in that match.
