If past reports are to be believed, Emiliano Buendia had the opportunity to leave Aston Villa before the start of the season. Many players in his position might have taken that route, a fresh start, a guaranteed place elsewhere. But Buendia chose differently. He chose to stay, to fight for his place, and to prove his worth once again.
That decision says everything about his character. When he’s been called upon this season, his attitude has been spot on. You can see it in the way he presses, in the energy he brings to the pitch, and in that constant desire to make something happen. Buendia doesn’t hide. He demands the ball, looks forward, and injects urgency and creativity into our play.
It’s no coincidence that Villa’s recent upturn in form has coincided with his influence returning to the side. His sharpness, his willingness to take risks, and his determination to impact the game have all added a spark that was missing earlier in the campaign. Every team needs players who can change the rhythm of a match, who can lift teammates simply by example, and I believe that Buendia has been that player.
In a squad full of quality and competition, it takes real courage to stay and fight. Buendia has done exactly that, and his professionalism has been rewarded with time on the pitch and performances full of intent. His attitude has spoken volumes, a reminder that determination and belief can be just as influential as talent, even though he has that in abundance.
So, I tip my hat to Buendia. Well done Emiliano, your attitude and spirit have been a big part of Villa’s mini u-turn in form, and long may it continue. UTV
