We’re Not Relegated Yet For Christ’s Sake

Villa vs Swansea 1It was a game of two half’s today, and you could say that Swansea had the better of the two. Swansea had the better of the first half with the chances they created, and even though Swansea scored a late winner, I think Villa were unlucky not to get a draw out of this match.

If we’re to stay in this league and I believe we will, then N’Zogbia needs to play in every single match from now and until the end of the season. It’s quite noticeable to me that we lost something when Charlie came off the field of play today. I think Charlie is that creative player that Sherwood needs to stick with, even if he’s not playing at his best, he could produce something that could get us a win or a draw. I really believe he’s that important to us, but he needs to play all the time.

Some of the Villa faithful are naturally upset with the defeat, I am too, but we aren’t relegated yet for Christ’s Sake!!! We need to stick with Sherwood and the team. We also need to create and keep a positive vibe that won’t disappear with a loss, I know it’s hard, but we need to stick together.

Two things bothered me today, and the first was replacing Benteke with Weimann. I personally would have brought on Gil for the last 15 minutes; in fact I would have brought him on earlier in the match for Sinclair who didn’t have his best game today. I also would’ve swapped Hutton over to the right with Bacuna going over to the left, especially after their sub Montero skinned Bacuna once before skinning him again to create their winner.

The referee Taffy Jones was born in Wales, how else can you explain the amount of free kicks he gave Swansea in the match. I mean there’s no room in the modern game for roughhouse tactics, but getting penalised for making a fair physical challenge is wrong. Football is a contact sport to a certain degree, I just wish that someone would have told that Welshman who officiated our match today. UTV

  1. Hope TS, grasps the necessity, to drop players, who under perform
And start playing the grealish,Gil,more. Felt midfield was over powered
    By swansea.

  2. I agree with almost all of this post but not with he comments about the referee, OK we didn’t get get many decisions but I still like to believe in the integrity of our officials. I am also unsure what it would take to give Gil a game and I thought that today would have been ideal for him, but no we continued in a system that was obviously not working. What is really worrying is how we continue to surrender points at the death. As a fan sitting in the stand the last few minutes of any close game is becoming unbearable. So Mr Sherwood these players might be on fire on the training ground but unless they can concentrate for ninety minutes we should try and get games shortened to 80 minutes long.

  3. Just one thing. . . . can we get rid of that bloody drummer??
It’s irritating at a small club like Wigan who need a drum to try and compensate for the lack of fans, but at Villa it’s also unnecessary and embarrassing.
