It’s Time To Stop The Pre-Match Huddle

the huddleThe Aston Villa pre match huddle really needs to stop now! Think about it for a moment, when things are going good for your club, the huddle can appear to show that the players are united together, but when things are constantly wrong, the huddle can become something being done out of duress.

When Villa were constantly losing at home last season, it looked as if some of the players taken part in it, didn’t really want to do it. Could you imagine doing a pre match huddle with the likes of a Yacouba Sylla? That’s right, if you see that someone isn’t up to the mark or putting it in, it would feel phony wouldn’t it.

A simple handshake between the players will do, and that’s only if you want to shake. The problem we’ve got is, they feel that they should do it all the time now, and that’s because it’s gone on for so long. Someone ought to say, ‘that’s it guy’s, no more huddles, this isn’t flipping working’. Not an easy thing to do now, as it’s the norm.

Have you ever kissed, let’s say a gruff old lady on the cheek who you might know and wished you hadn’t, you never kissed her before and now you’ve got to kiss the old duffer every time you see her, and it could have been avoided! So now it’s time to stop giving her a peck on the cheek, time to stop the huddle. UTV
