Harry Redknapp Losing It And The Media Love-In

Harry RedknappIs Harry Redknapp losing it? Can you imagine Roy Hodgson digging out one of his players in the way Harry did? In the European qualifiers, Hodgson put it out there that Raheem Stirling came to him and said that he was too tired to play. Roy (who isn’t a media lovey) simply told the world why he wasn’t in the starting line up and the whole world blew up. I don’t blame Roy for spilling the beans as Stirling is spoilt and has previous.

When Harry severely dug out Adel Taarabt, the media were queuing up to praise Harry for being honest. There were other media outlets such as Talksport and the Fleet Street hacks making any excuses they could think for him as to why he made his unprofessional outburst. I guess if you’re a media lovey and cheeky cockney chappie, you’ll get an easy time in the press.

Due to our short-term form, I’m finding it hard to think that Villa will get anything out of Monday night’s clash against QPR. We need a kick-start to our season, so it would be amazing if we could get a win, which will put more pressure on Harry, but we know how the story usually ends, don’t we? Villa loses, Harry is wonderful, and we’re left wondering how this always happens to us.

Truth be known, Harry isn’t losing it, he’s just an emotional guy and the media love him! Villa is never going to get any reasonable exposure, as we’re not fashionable enough. Unless you’re from London or the northwest we’re never going to get any reasonable media exposure, unless we force our way into the spotlight, and we’re a million miles away from that. UTV

  1. Got a feeling if qpr put in the type of performance against us that they put in against Liverpool we won’t be able to hold out under the pressure! Liverpool have the quality to hurt teams even though they were lucky but if we sit back and get put under pressure we could eventually crack. Lambert has said we have to be on the front foot on Monday so I’m expecting us to take the game to them judging by those comments!

  2. I can’t see lambert changing his tactics but as always he talks the talk ,and we all know that talk is cheap in football ,the preasure is now on for him to perform after openly admititing he’s played defensively over the past four games making a mockery of the supporters and the media and of the club . Defeat is acceptable to us fans as long as we see the fight and the passion and style of football we all long to see but I’m sorry to say under lambert it’s never going to happen he’s happy to accept defeat as the norm with the odd win thrown in between ………now don’t come on here and accuse me of being a na sayer because I’ve seen it all before ,I want the man to be a success at our club , I believe he just doesn’t have the right make up to be the successful manager we all want. good managers study the game and learn from it ,so he’s not learnt a thing to help move villa in he right direction , a big swing from young and hungry to older with more experience just shows how confused he his ,a mixture of youth and experience would most defiantly but us into a much better position over the past two seasons ,but now we are in a new transitional period whilst every one beds into lamberts confusing formation a negative style and defensive football . Sooner or later the tide will turn and us fans will want blood , no more poor excuses and no more lies start delivering the goods lambert

  3. we have all seen the improvements this year,,, but the last four games have knocked our confidence,, the everton match being our worst performance for many reasons

so i expect a backlash from this,, QPR will press forward and if our defence is back to full strenth i think we can hold whatever they throw at us

the key player is sanchez,, if he plays well we will win, QPR are vunerable to pace
so our counter attacking game is very suited to this game

so i am going with 3 1 villa,, with dunne scoring against us

i just think we are due a performance
