So the little runt has gone! I’d love to say something like, he’s no loss and he’s easy to replace, but I think he might have done all right under Sherwood. I would also love to say, good luck on your new move, hope everything works out fine for you, but I can’t! Cleverley was never really our player, but I really thought he might sign for us, and now it feels like I’ve been kicked in the gut and I can’t stand the little runt at this moment in time.
I’ve always had a problem with players that want to leave Villa, I feel like they’ve betrayed our beautiful football club! Just had a little moment describing my club as beautiful then! It must be in the eye of the beholder.
I guess the only way to make Aston Villa attractive to some, is if we shower them with loads of money, it’s the modern way I guess. Fighting relegation for the last few years hasn’t helped either, so something needs to be done about that too. It’s going to be really interesting to see what Sherwood can do in the transfer market to turn our fortunes around and brighten up the spirits of the fans.
But I won’t go on anymore, I’ve got a curry sitting there waiting to be eaten and quite a few Budweiser’s to be drunk, but I fear the there is going to be more bad news coming our way in terms of players leaving, and I won’t be able to let them go with my blessing either.

It’s worrying. We failed to sell AVFC to Cleverley, who clearly has jumped ship to join his preferred club.
The pocket change that Lerner will allow Sherwood to spend will be nowhere near enough cash to enable the manager to bring in the numbers and quality that we so desperately need.
At the time of writing, I fear that another relegation fight awaits us in 2015-16. I cant see any other outcome.
I can’t believe that anyone is bothered about Cleverley not signing for the Villa, he’s average at best, and probably one of the easier players to replace, in-fact in Gary Gardner maybe we already have his replacement!
Cleverley never really wanted to play for Villa. We were a stepping stone for him to get a full game. TC has a massive job to do and needs money. Sell Benteke and look at the future. Use the money to buy new players. At the moment we only have Given, Clarke, Westwood, Delph, Sinclair, Gil, Grealish. Everyone else is average.
Honestly this could be the best thing for villa it means Gary Gardner will be given a proper go I do think he could be as good as Gerrard injuries seem to be behind him and we know if does make it good he’ll never leave villa as per his comments the other day

Not surprised Clev has left. Earlier in the season when he was a scapegoat he was verbally assaulted repeatedly by the lower Holte. I sat and listened as opposition players took corners. Villa park in silence as people smeared him with verbal excrement. He could here every word. You could see on his face that he felt it. We treated him like dirt. Not surprised he left asap.

Until the clubs sold we whont see alot in the transfer window. its ok for us all to pick the papers up and read about who we are linked with because lets all be fair 99.9% of the time ite aload of trollop! As for cleverly he come to the club to somehow turn his career around which looks as he has succeeded with an england call up on the cards and a move to a decent everton side. He helped us stay in the prem and played outstanding in the fa cup run. Well done tom and thanks for everything. All people ever do is moan and slag players off. For a start he was not our player anyway so grow the fuck up and put your trust into other midfielders we may buy or bring through the academy!
Cleverly leaving doesn’t worry me. Ok we are down another player in our midfield, but hopefully a better replacement can be found as he wasn’t the best villa player in a shirt last season
As for GG coming up to replace him, only he can do that and show TS what he has in pre-season. But don’t hold your breathe on this as GG has had a few false dawns and next year could be his last
for many games under sherwood we showed in part we can be a good side
but despite everyones downbeat assessment we still have a side that will probably win over half the games it plays
next season is about building for the future, we need to address the failings in midfield and create more goals from every position
not enough goals from defence, midfield and everyone in attack apart from benteke and sinclair, this really needs sorting as we are poor in this department
at the bare minimum we need a decent left back and a dominant goal scoring midfeilder, and a replacement for benteke
personally i dont think we need a center back unless vlaar departs
robinson and gardner should come through and sinclair and grealish will improve
and there is still kozac to return and gil if he stays
it will be interesting to see who comes in,, fer and philips would be good from qpr and austin looks to know where the goal is and would compliment another big striker if we can get one
also bacuna could move into midfield allowing him to create more
Personally,never rated Cleverley.He had 2 or 3 good games towards the end and his finally scoring a couple of important goals ultimately,ironically,kept us up. BUT…..But surely there has to be better players out there who wuold like a chance to prove themselves in the EPL.
Hope TS gives Gil a bit of a go,as l thought he looked like he had potential.
