Bernstein And King And Randy Lerner To Sell Aston Villa Down The River

So Mervyn King and David Bernstein have tendered their resignation from the Villa Board. To say I feel disappointed about them leaving our car crash of a football club is an understatement, in fact, I feel quite depressed about it.

Positives at Aston Villa have been very rare for many years, so to have the only glimmer of light taken away with the resignation of these two men of honour, have left me worrying for our future as a football club.

So what powers do these remaining Board members have? They have none at all! I’ve lost all faith in the board, even though it’s not their fault. Randy Lerner is still running our club and the puppets in the Boardroom must be scratching their heads, because they now know they’re under orders.

Randy Lerner has made nothing but mistake after mistake, but one thing I truly believed, was that he wouldn’t sell our club to any Tom, Dick or Harry, but I’m not so sure now.

Talk-Sport radio are now reporting that Villa fans are going to be exasperated at the news of our potential new owner, this news will be broken by Martin Lipton of the Sun newspaper at 23:00 tonight on Talk-Sport. I can’t bloody well wait.
