Aston Villa’s Bomb Squad Back From The Dead

Alan HuttonIt’s funny how we see things differently; I had the second half down as the better of the two and other people had the first as their preferred half, even though we went a goal down. Me, I thought the first half was just ok; we created a few chances without looking threatening I thought. For me, they just needed to slow down and show a little more composure on the ball, easier said than done I know!

The second half however, was very promising! It was quite evident that in the first 25 minutes, our main threat came from down the right with Alan Hutton showing real endeavour, strength and skill. As the second half continued, the midfield led by Gary Gardner came more into the game, as did the left hand side of the team.

I would like to give special praise to two men who were brought back from the dead (the bomb squad), Darren Bent and Alan Hutton. It couldn’t have been easy for them to come back into the squad after the way they had been treated over the last couple of years! Full respect has to go to them for putting the Claret and Blue back on again. If it had been me, I think I would have told Lambert where to shove it! So, Well done lads!

I know the game was just a friendly and it was only a league two side we played, but you need to say what you’ve seen and if the performance was good, then you should say so, right! So, we’re not getting carried away, but, Well Done Aston Villa! Let’s hope we have many more results like this one. UTV

  1. Didn’t watch the match last night. If Hutton played as well as you say, it can only be a bonus. But please bare in mind who we played last night.

    • I did bare that in mind. But you know if you say, Good performance, then someone will point out that they’re a crap side. If you lose, then, you’ve just been beaten by a crap side and it should never had happened.

It doesn’t matter what anyone says, there always be someone who disagrees with you.

But you can’t deny when you see good performances by different players, no matter who they play.

  2. Footballers these days don’t give a hoot about pulling on the clubs colours on all they are bothered about is their 60 80 100 grand plus a week salaries , gone are the days when a player really loves the club players like that are a dieting breed . I used to think Gabbi was loyal I know he is one of us but he has not moved because nobody else is daft enough to pay him more than we pay him.. My point is bent and Hutton are not particularly bothered if they get a run out or not as long as they are getting their ridiculous salaries ,
