Aston Villa Will Never Die

villa park frontageSo that’s it guy’s, we’ve finally been relegated, and I’d like to say that I’m taking it in my stride, but it’s hard. I had three terrible days when we got beat by Everton 0-4, that’s when I realised we were going down, after that, I’ve been quite relaxed about it all, until now.

I don’t want this to be a rant of how we got to this position; I’ve done many of those posts over the last how many years since I started this blog. I feel very very sorry for the employees of AVFC who are going to lose their jobs, and the Villa fans who are feeling like crap at this moment in time.

To the current board, please do everything you can to get us back up into the big time; we’re relying on you.

To the Villa faithful who haven’t experienced relegation; I started supporting Aston Villa when we were in the old third division. I watched as our team won promotion through the Leagues, winning cups and becoming the Champions of England and Europe, and then getting relegated in the 1986-87 season, the Lion was wounded, but didn’t die.

How ever long it takes to get it out of your system, just know that we didn’t perish as a football club, we didn’t disappear from existence, and in the 87-88 season, we pulled up our bootstraps and got back into the big time, we can do it again. UTV

  2. I’m 62 and have watched the Villa in the third division playing with more passion and fight than this current lot so I’m looking forward to seeing some of the youngsters who care fore the club playing next year
