Aston Villa Targeting Everton F.C. For A Win

av vs evr 1Aston Villa travel to Goodison Park on Saturday; Villa are hoping they can recapture some of their early season form. Everton however, are looking to kick start their season, full stop! With one win and three draws they’re currently on six points, four points behind Villa.

To me, it doesn’t feel right that if Everton were to get a win, they’d be only one point behind us. Villa’s start to the season has been a good one; it was only until we played sides chasing for Champions League places and Premiership titles that we came up short. So now we’re playing a side we should be targeting for a win.

Goodison Park has always seems to throw up good matches between the Toffees and the Villans, except for last year! The only thing that Villa done in the game, was score a goal and then hold on for dear life. Villa is a different side to last year, and I believe we can get a draw if not a win tomorrow.

Fabian Delph has injured his shoulder and is out of the game on Saturday. It looks like Carlos Sanchez (who needs to take his chance) will come in for Delph and the midfield will be reshuffled. Benteke could start for the Villa tomorrow, but I think it would be wiser to bring him on as a sub later on in the game. We mustn’t pin all our hopes on Christian, he’s just come back from a long lay off and needs to be eased back into the side otherwise his form could suffer.

I’ll be driving up the M6 at about 11 o’clock tomorrow morning and I look forward to this fixture more than any. The Ervertonians are a great bunch of fans, I really enjoy the atmosphere that their football stadium generates, but I really hope we stuff them. Come On Villa!!! UTV
