Aston Villa Fans Need To Change!!!

successVilla Fans Need To Change If We Want To Be Successful!!!

I believe that there is a fair proportion of Villa fans out there who need to change there mentality, especially when comes to the success of our football club. I believe that the fans mentality plays a big part of any Big Football Club, for me its arguably the biggest factor.

With rise and rise of social media and the internet, you get to read the views of football fans when ever there is breaking news or rumours that concern your club. Such as the buying and especially the selling of players. We all love it when we’re linked with players coming in, but Its the Selling of our players that has always Bugged me the most, and how our fans react, and there varying opinions on this news.

The Comments You Hear And Read On A Players Potential Exit

You talk or read via social media to fellow Villa fans and you read and listen to them say, “He deserves to go to a bigger club”, “Keep him for one more year then let him have his pay day”, He’s given us years of service, so we shouldn’t stand in his way”, I could keep rolling out all the cliches but I’m sure you know what I’m getting at. And I’m pretty sure there are other Villa fans out there that despair when they hear or read this kind of negative talk thats partly holding our club back.

Its About Mentality

If you THINK that its impossible for Aston Villa to become a club challenging for honours, then there lies your problem. “Think”, Think small and you’ll be small, think big and maybe you can go someway to achieve greatness. But I know there will be people out there saying its impossible with out Big Money. There are critical factors that make you a big and successful club. And don’t give me that Aston Villa are a poor club because we’re not. We’ve had are spending sprees over the years and we haven’t gone under yet, and I’m sure we will have more in the future.

What We Need To Do

We as Aston Villa Fans have to accept that players will come and go and thats the same for any club including Manchester United. But we’ve got to get ruthless. If the player isn’t a benefit to the club then we gotta ship them out. But if they are an asset to the club then we gotta fight tooth and nail to keep them and that means playing hard ball. How else are we to challenge for honours when we let our best players go all the time and more frighteningly accept it, with the usual comments. Think where we could be if we hadn’t sold our best players since the start of the Premiership, up there challenging maybe? Our board, players potential or current, the national press and fans from other clubs Read and Hear what you say, and they form an opinion of us. And I don’t think its a good one at the moment. They think we’re soft and can cherry pick our best players. But we can change and it starts with us, The Villa Faithful, the true voice of our football club. UTV

  1. Spot on. There’s a lot of Villa fans out there who actually swallow all the media nonsense written about the club. There’s a very weak mentality out there among Villa fans that simply accepts what is being said about Villa with a simple shrug of the shoulders. This negativity is infectious and can drag us down.

Spread the word, my friend. Get your message out there that Villa fans need to be the first line of defence for the club, they should be talking up the club and speaking of it with pride. Every article written by the London press needs to be shot down. Every smartarse comment written by the likes of spurs/arsenal supporters needs to be given short shrift. These clubs do not have half the history or influence of Villa – remind Villa fans that they are falling into the trap of swallowing the London media’s version of football.

Villa are older and bigger than the lot of them.

    • Let me tell you Macca, You’ve just made my day mate, I get to see the stats for people who visit my web site, and there are quite a few, but few people actually make comment’s like you and tell me how they feel. I know we all have a different point of view and I’m willing to take it when Villa fans don’t agree with me. But if I didn’t get another comment on this post of mine it doesn’t matter, because I now know I don’t think this way on my own. Cheers Mate.

      • A pleasure – and I speak the truth!

Hang in there, Villa ALWAYS come back. There’s no club out there that even touches us.

  2. Unfortunately football today is a big business u either spend big & win trophies or u spend little & win nothing & obviously with the owners of the big 6 clubs in the league having the backing ie man utd man city chelsea arsenal Liverpool & spurs are probably the only teams that wil win trophies the villa have spent big to no avail in the past so let’s hope the villa can prove they are a big club with hardly spending nothing at all which would be a great way of going forward!!!
